“I have known Amy Bumpus for 10 years. Our sons (her 2 and my 3) are close in age, and they were in classes and activities together in school. We grew from acquaintances to the closest of friends. My family has shared many wonderful moments with her family. We have gone through difficult life events together as well. I trust Amy as a mother and as a precious friend. I know her heart for her family. I know her heart for her friends and for her community. And, I know her heart for her work as a realtor. I have seen the efforts firsthand that Amy has gone to for her clients over the years I have known her. She feels a tremendous responsibility for her clients. She gets to know them and shares, and takes to heart, her clients' disappointments and joys. I have seen the late (and the early AM) hours, the bargaining, the many miles traveling around, the dealing with intricate and unique situations, the expectations versus reality, the impossible becoming possible. She is intelligent, diligent, knowledgeable, forthright, aggressive when called for, current, and she truly CARES. So, when my husband and I made the decision to sell the home we had raised our sons in and search for a new place to call home, we were absolutely confident Amy was the realtor to trust. Not because she was our friend, but because of the experience of years of seeing her work so hard and care so much for so many people. We knew she would give us an honest and realistic expectation of the condition and sale value of our home, and do the same with any house we looked at purchasing. Amy can evaluate quickly what needs to be updated or changed in order for your house to sell. She can help you prioritize in order to stay within your budget, and is unerringly honest and realistic and practical. She also has a network of professionals she can recommend to do needed work or upgrades that you are not able to accomplish yourself, and that will do the work in a timely fashion and within the estimate you are given before work begins. This is also true for when you are buying a home. Amy works to find the best possible fit for your budget and for the priorities you have in your home search. She knows the market well. She researches and stays current with sale trends and quality and resale values. She can point out issues and also ease concerns about a home. She has that network to call upon, too. We had built our Westerville home in a nice subdivision, close to the schools, and a wonderful community of neighbors, and lived there for 17 1/2 years. We wanted to find a new place to call home with a few country acres, and to pass along our Westerville home to a new family to love. We listened to Amy's advice, and made updates over a 1 1/2 month period. Amy had the house in contract the day it went on the market. She helped us find and purchase our home in Delaware during the time our Westerville place was updated and in contract. So much went into making both transactions possible, and Amy was with us and working for us every step of the way. To say "Above and Beyond" seems trite and overused, but that is, nonetheless, entirely accurate when describing what Amy Bumpus does as a realtor. I know this has been a long review, but I owe the same care in reviewing and recommending Amy that she has given in working for us. Amy cares, but not just about selling/buying a property. She understands you are selling what has been your HOME, and knows how to help that transition. She cares about finding you a place, too. Not just a place to live, Amy wants to find you a place to call HOME, for however long you stay. If you want to sell your current home, if you want to buy a home, or if you want both...my friend, Amy Bumpus, is the realtor you want working for you.”
